A dimora launches third residency cycle with festival debut in Londa

On June 3, 2025, A dimora officially launched its third year of artist residencies in Londa, Tuscany. The five selected artists met with local stakeholders, explored the surrounding area, and began their research to create new artworks that will become part of the town’s cultural heritage.

The first official event of A dimora took place during the Festival della Montagna Fiorentina, a celebration of the natural, cultural, and social richness of the Tuscan Apennines, promoting sustainable tourism, community engagement, and artistic practices rooted in the local landscape.

The event, A dimora – Open Doors, part of the residency’s public program, began with the presentation of “Ce l’hai presente il serpente?”, a poster art project by artist Davide Mancini Zanchi in collaboration with Florence-based Aosta Publishing. The work explores the wildlife of the Montagna Fiorentina through everyday objects evoking the imagery of the serpent, forming a contemporary bestiary.

The day continued with open studios, offering an opportunity for the artists and the Londa community to meet and connect. Visitors were also invited to screen-print their own tote bag with the A dimora logo.

The residencies will continue throughout June and July, culminating in a final public presentation in September 2025.
