NEWS FROM A dimora

The A dimora residency has reached its halfway point

The artists of A dimora 2025 are continuing their research in Londa, Florence. Between collaborations with local artisans, searches through old video archives, and countless preparatory sketches and drawings, the artists will soon begin producing the works that will be presented during the final exhibition, taking place on September 12th, 13th, and 14th.

Throughout July, a series of studio visits by nationally recognized curators will take place. These meetings will offer the artists valuable insights and perspectives to enrich both their research and the ongoing conversation around the artworks being developed for A dimora. Among the invited curators is Elena Magini, curator at the Centro per l’Arte Contemporanea Luigi Pecci in Prato and Martino Margheri, Palazzo Strozzi, Florence.

THE RIVER: A JOURNEY ALONG THE ELBE

The River Narratives

From Wittenberge to Lenzen and back again, the past months traced a process of listening, sensing, and co-creating with the Elbe River and its communities — between April and June 2025.

As part of this year’s Future DiverCities, we developed a replicable model of artistic-ecological engagement, inspired by previous work along the Spree and at Spreepark Berlin, and translated it into the specific context of the Elbe.

Through excursions, solar boat trips, and field-based design methods, we explored the river’s stories — from changing ecosystems to cultural memories, boundaries, and bridges — forming proposals for sustainable futures shaped by care and collaboration.
