TWINNING PROGRAM

Discover the exciting exchange program between project partners and ECHN members unfolding over the next few months!

In just a few days, Yana from Subtopia (Norsborg, Sweden) will be hosted by KONTEJNER in Zagreb. This visit will explore an innovative new approach to storytelling and creative problem-solving.

In May, Natalia from ARTERIA_LAB (Evora, Portugal) will travel to Liepaja (Latvia). As both cities prepare to become European Capitals of Culture in 2027, this exchange will be a unique opportunity to contribute to Liepaja’s efforts while fostering long-term collaboration and joint projects.

Meanwhile, Evita from Craftopia Creative Hub (Thessaloniki, Greece) will collaborate with Public Art Lab (Berlin, Germany) to explore the artistic and legal frameworks for recognising a river as a legal entity – raising awareness of environmental issues and advocating for non-human rights.

In the second week of June, Jasmina from PROSTOR (Split, Croatia) will be hosted by LAMA (Florence, Italy) and participate in the third edition of the Montagna Fiorentina art residency, where they will engage with artists and follow their work in progress.

After the summer, Angela from BULB will exchange with Plai, focusing on knowledge transfer, nature-based design versus human-centred approaches, structural innovation, and cross-sectoral collaboration.

Stay tuned for more updates on these inspiring exchanges!

PROJECT “A PIECE OF SPACE” AT KONEPAJA, KUOPIO

Anyone interested in social and environmental justice and civic action is warmly invited to take part in an artistic project at Culture Workshop Konepaja throughout 2025. The project includes a series of workshops.

Led by artist Tea Andreoletti whose practice centers on participatory processes, collective performances, shared memory and experimental rituals of care, the program will explore the future of the Culture Workshop Konepaja area – co-imagining its transformations and possibilities.

In September, the project will culminate in a public presentation at the ANTI Festival, shaped entirely by the participants – their urgencies, ideas, and circumstances.

A COLLECTIVE WORKSHOP IN THE COMMON GARDEN - MARSEILLE

In Marseille, a common garden is coming to life in the La Belle de Mai neighborhood!

To support citizen-led initiatives, La Friche and Chroniques have partnered with Terrains Vagues and Pépins Production—two local associations specializing in architecture, urban greening, and co-design.

From February to April, collective workshops shape the space-building, seeding, planting, and even (digitally) drawing. Participants pour their energy into the project, all leading up to a communal picnic at the end of the month!
